In Velvet Goldmine, Ewan MacGregor's (sic) character leaps off the stage into the crowd, and Ewan wanted to leap himself. Todd Haynes wanted Ewan to leap, too, so he could put the camera underneath him and shoot it in one continuous take. I was nervous.
